PEKING, April 14
It will take two to three years to clear North Manchuria of bandits, and the task will require one hundred thousand troops. This is the opinion expressed by General Tamon, Commander of the Japanese Second Division. in a press interview.
General Tamon -accused the Soviet authorities of. hampering Japane.se attempts to restore order.
COMMUNIST ACTIVITY
PEKING, April 14
Renewed Communist activity is reported from Fukeen where Red armies are threatening Chang Chow on the mainland opposite Amoy. Foreigners residing on the mainland, moistlj missionaries, are prepared to refuge m Amoy, where the British Consul has requested the despatch of a gunboat. Provincial troops are preparing to take the field against the Red invaders.
