The following will represent the Excelsior Football Club in a benefit match with Rimu, at Rimti, on Saturday : Hamilton, Jones, Mitchell, Schroder, Rimmer, Hughes (2), Davidson, Reese, Stevenson, Parker, Leslie, Eager, Richards, Thompson, Palmer, The Rimu team will be selected from the following: Hyndmnn, Inglie, Lewis, Groweott (2), Lemm, Broadbent, Brown, Thorpe, CTase, Boyd, Ogilvie (2) Keenan, Agnew, Dale, Kelly, O’Connor (2), Smith, Mclntosh.

PLAYING REGULATIONS. (By Telegraph —ter Brets Association J WELLINGTON, April 14. The New Zealand Rugby Union decided at its Conference that injured players could be replaced if both captains agreed . It was decided that teams must not leave the field at half-time without the permission of the referee. It was decided to instruct the New Zealand Referees’ Association that Rule 34, relating to foul play, should be strictly enforced .this season. It was also decided to recommend the Unions that the appointment of referees for inter-provincial matches should be made by the home Unions. It was decided to grant £750 for the supply of footballs to primary schools. ■ ■ INTER-ISLAND MATCH. A recommendation was passed to the Management Committee that this year’s North v. MATCH BROADCASTS. WELLINGTON, April 14
The limitation of the broadcasting of Rugby matches to the international and inter-provincial games' was decided upon by the New Zealand Rugby Union at its annual conference to-day, after a brief discussion.
