The Hooper medical foundation of Hu* University of California reported >to_ uay t-.iat l’har Lap died of coLc or .icn.j indigestion. The condition, the report said, probably resulted ' from fermentation of food in h s stomach, causing a bloating or distention of the muscles of the heart and stopping that organ. A chemical analysis, Uiey said, two milligrams of a deadly poison in 'l’har Lap's stomach, about the normal quantity of this poison to *be found nil the amount of green food that Phar Lap had eaten. This amount should have been beneficial, the patholo. gists said.
