MADAME HANAU
CHARGED WITH THEFT. OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) PARIS, April 9. As it was believed that she ivas about to publish, in her financial weekly paper “Forces,” details from a secret document that was lost from the office of the Finance Minister (M. Flandiii), the police have arrested the famous Madame llaiiau on a charge of theft of public documents. She is also accused of attempting to depress the Stock Exchange by articles professing to expose the real motive behind Premier Tardi-su’s Danube plan, It is recalled that Madame Hanan was charged with fraud in connection with her “Gazette Du France,” and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. She had already served eighteen months in prison. Therefore she was released when she lodged an appeal, which is still pending.
