SALE OF FRUIT STANDS

The sale of street fruit stands for the April quarter realised £450, only 15s loss than for the corresponding quarter in 1931. The majority of the purchasers wore Hindus-. KETCH SAILS. HOSPITAL FINANCE
WELLINGTON, April 7
The- Wellington Hospital Hoard begins the new financial year with a deficit of £31,801. The deficit is accounted for by the great increase in -social welfare expenditure. The actual money paid out in this direction exceeds the estimate by £34,255. The chairman, iM-r F. Ca.stle. states that there- is no possibility of a reduction of the levies this year.
