GAMING HOUSE
FOUR MEN CONVICTED

WELLINGTON, April 8
For running a common gaming house, John George Bailie, and Howard Headifer were fined £2, and Arthur Annealand Laurel Bales 10s. The charges were in connection with a progressive euchre tournament.
The first two defendants, it was stated by counsel, had been running their show for ten years, and the police relied on the judgment of Hon. Justice Adams in the Young v. Britten case in 1928.
