CROWD MAKE OBJECTIONS
THREE CHINESE REMANDED

A raid was made by detectives tonight on premises in Grey’s Avenue, City, allegedly ' used as a- pakapoo bank, and three Chinese were arrested. While the police were inside a demonstration was made by a crowd which lmd collected, and two bricks were thrown through the front plate glass window of the premises. When going through the premises the police found one door heavily barred, and three iron bars were used in battering it down ’Fhe police collected a quantity of articles, including :v book o! pakapoo, three .sheath knives, and small iron liars wrapped in paper. At the special court at the Police. Station. Wong Ah Hoo, aged 42; Lee Gip, aged 35; and Ah War, aged 52, were charged with keeping the promises as a common gaming house. They were remanded on bail of £lO each.
