j The wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church yesterday morning
of Doris, only 'daughter of Mrs and the late Mr T Collins, Biakctown, to Patrick, youngest son of Mrs and the late .Mr F. Coll, Grey mouth. Rev. Father Gregory performed the cerei mony.
1 The bride, who was escorted by her , brother, Mr T. Collins, was attired in au ankle-length- frock of vesper satin, | of a lovely .shade of old ivory, cut on | classical lines. Her Limerick lace veil, fitting well back off the face, waS caught with a wreath of orange blossom and she carried a beautiful arm
spray of palo pink and white Autumn flowers. Miss Edna Williams (l'atea), who attended her cousin as bridesmaid, wore an ankle-length frock of pink brocaded crepe de chine and powder blue hat turned back off. the face and carried a bouquet of pink and blue Autumn flowers.'
Little Norma Jones .and Frances Mulrenmtn made charming flower girls, the former wearing an ankle-length frock of green satin royal and the latter an ankle-length frock of turquoise blue early Victorian style. Both wore caps of rosebuds. *
Mr Frank McDiarinid attended as best man. As the wedding party left the Church, little fZielma iSteel presented a .'lucky horseshoe to the bride. The reception was later held in the Blaketown Hall, Mrs Collins receiving her guests wearing a black costume, with a black and white hat to tone. The mother of the bridegroom wore .a black frock with hat and shoes to tone, Mr and Mrs Patrick 'Coll left by' the express for the North Island, the 'bride travelling in a saxe blue floral crepe de chine, frock and coat to tone, of flecked tweed, and a smart hat to match
BERRY—GARDNER. A quiet but pretty wedding took place at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Harihari. on Easter Monday evening at 7 o’clock, the contracting parties being Vera, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Gardner, of Evan’s Creek, and William, <sd.est.-son of Mr and Mrs -W. Berry, well-known settlers of Herepo. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful frock of white satin. iShe was attended by her sister Phyllis as bridesmaid, w-ho wore a beautiful frock of blue satin with shoes to match. The duties of best man were carried out ‘by the groom’s brother, Mr Eric Berry. Rev. Newcombe performed the ceremony. A reception was held the same evening at the residence of jthe bride’s parents, Mount Bonar, where Mrs Gardner received her guests wearing a* smart frock of dark crepe satin. Mrs Berry, mother of the brideov'vom, wore black silk. After the reception, which lasted until midnight, the happy couple left per motor for Hokitika, cn route for Hamilton,’ North Island, their future home.
