VIOLENT STORM

A violent storm again struck the city and suburbs last night, and low lying areas .were soon flooded again. Vivid lightning lit the sky. Passengers on an electric train at Stamnore had a bad scare when, ■ what appeared to be a fireball burst over the train. Tram services were interrupted owing to the rails being flooded.

HEAVY FLOODS IN VICTORIA. MELBOURNE, April 5. Floods in the Darriman and Giffarrl areas are still serious, and seven inches of rain fell in the latter district in five hours. Fencing has been washed away for miles, and the loss of stock is heavy .
