“THE BLACK CAMEL.” Following Charlie Chan’s success in tracking down a murderer in “Charlie Chan Carries On,” the same Oriental detective again displays his brilliant deductions in “The Black Camel,” Fox I Films’ second offering of a series based, on Earl Derr Diggers’ famous Faction character. TV. “The Black Camel,” coming to the Princess Theatre to-night, Charlie’s sleuthing is all done in and around Honolulu, and to secure the necessary realism, Director Hamilton MacFadden took his entire company to Hawaii, where much of the production was filmed. Warner Oland again enacts the role of Charlie Chan, but in the new film Sally Eilers has the romantic lead, wjith Bela Lugosi, Dorothy Header, Victor Varconi, Robert Young, Murray Kinnell and William Post in the principal roles. The picture is rated as being even more thrilling than the preceding offering, with the beauty 01 its Hawaiian backgrounds adding greatly to its entertainment value Good supports.
The great British Comedy, “Middle ' Watch” will be shown on Wednesday night only, THE ORIGINALS. BRIGHT VAUDEVILLE, THURSDAY. It will, be welcome news for laughter lovers that on Thursday at Princess Theatre will see the advent of Rex Sayer s “Originals,” redolent “The Diggers,” and composed of artiste from the Fuller-Hay ward circuits. The Australian Entertainers Ltd. will present Rex Sayers “Originals” among the talented artists in which is Frank Moran, the famous “Diggers” comedian). The! Company h-Kn includes Rax Sayers, the Sunshine Singer with the sunshine personality; “Tchekia” the Russian Dancer; Tom Richards, the eminent baritone; Mr,s Lee Swanson, solo dancer and smibrette; Johnnie Gerald, comedian and acrobat; Little Mercia, the girl entertainer; Andre and Nanette, the Cabaret dancers late of the cafe Wentworth and the Ambassadors, Sydney); the Merrin Sisters, acrobatic specialists; and Norman Fraser the operatic tenor, together with “the Originals” Ballet, also Miss Ivy Akersten, celebrity pianiste. This is a real live show, which has been unanimously voted hv the press and public as the brightest vaudeville entertainment for years, with a glittering galaxy of girls and gaiety, attired in pretty frocks. The prices suit' the times and are very reasonable, bong 3s and 1 2s pins tax for adults and Is for children. The box plan is "-open at Mclntosh’s.
