ABDUCTION OF GIRL,

NEW PLYMOUTH, April 1- ' The abduction of a girl under the age of 18 years at Napier, on February 5, was charged against Percy William (Roberts to-day. He was remanded to appear at' Napier on April 7.
LIQUOR AT DANCE. DUNEDIN, March 31. Alterations in the law regarding liquor in halls and cabarets and in the law regarding the parking of cars in. the vicinity of halls during dances were suggested in resolutions passed at a session of the Grand Lodge of Good Templars. The need for stricter supervision was emphasised. ELDERLY MAN MISSING. JMELSOjL April 1. J, A .Stringer, aged 72, a builder and contractor, nlld a City Councillor, has been missing from home since early on Wednesday morning. Search parties have been unsuccessful, Mr Stringer a few months ago suffered from an illness,, causing 'lapses of memory.
