EVERYBODYS’ PICTURES. “HONEYMOON LANE’’—SPARKLING COMEDY. Success as a star came to Eddie Dowling with the release, about two years ago, of his very first picture, “The Rainbow Man.” According to preview critics he doubles the me asm e of that success in “Honeymoon Lane, Aiis second picture, which is to be [ screened at the Princess Theatre toT|\ight (Saturday). " Dowling is a firm believer in the theory that the charm that goes with carefully devised simplicity in thentri- . cal or 'film presentations is the most effective method of keeping audiences in a rosy glow, of happiness. It is not an I easy production - course to follow —what * with the film capital story material of, a- spicy, or a thifilfer, or a blood-and-thunder nature. But Dowling holds to it rigidly. Tn more than a score of years as air actor and playright ho has never'.wayierpd;'from his -purpose and as a result he has never been'associated, in any way, with what h known in critical circles and along “heartbreak” lane as a “flop’ production. :''
