RAILWAY RETURNS
IMPROVED NET INCOME

WELLINGTON, April 1
A very satisfactory feature of the latest railway accounts is that although there was a decrease of £54,688 in the revenue for the four week-
ly period, this was more than offset by a decrease of £78,003 in the expendi-
ture, the net revenue showing an improvement of £23,315. For the current year to 27th. February, the decrease in revenue is £1,037,352 and in expenditure £l,152,008, which has given an improvement in the net revenue of £141,656.
