Sir Robert Hadfield disclosed at the anilual meeting that Had fields liaci produced a new type of projectile, capable of perforating the best barefaced armour over a foot in thickness. inclined at thirty degrees, at a, velocity equivalent to a range of fifteen thousand ylardsl. The time occupied in piercing the armour plato was l-200th. of a- second.
