TO BE KNOWN AS THE ROVERS

For the purpose of forming a. second Hockey (JJub in Hokitika, a meeting was held on Tuesday evening, tvlieii there was a large attendance of members.

McGregor, .J S'. Langford, Kernahan, S'. J. Preston, and- Dr. Hart; captain, .Miss 0. Stapleton; vice-captian, Airs Eager; secretary, AlLss A. Stapleton; committee, Alissos AL. Stickles, AT,. Connolly, E. Wells, T. Midland and officers ex officio; coach. Rev. 0. A. Naylor; referee, Air R. Paterson. It was' decided that the club colours he red and white, and that the club be known as the .Rovers. The subscription was fixed as follows:—School girls 2,s 6d. other members 3s. It was decided to write to the Borough Couueil asking lor the use of a ground <ui C'ass Square, also to the nughy Sub-Union asking if it would Ire possible to appoint members as gate keepers. A vote of thanks was accorded to Air P. Ross for the donation of hockey sticks and a hall to the club. it wa-,S' decided to hold the opening practice on .Monday, April Jth.
