OBSERVANCES AT SYDNEY

The Lunar eclipse latst night wais one of the finest ever observed here. Ninety-seven per cent, of the surface affected turned a copper colour in tho earth’s shadow. Beginning at eight o’clock it reached the maximum at 10.32 p.m. and ended at one o’clock in tlie morning. The atmosphere was dear and many photographs were obtained. THE INSURANCE COMPANIES.
