■HOSTILE DEM ON-STR ATI ON. (Per Australian Press Association.) -SYDNEY, March 22. Captain De Groot appeared before Mr Laidlaw, the City Stipendiary Magistrate, at the Central Policy Court to-day on three charge s in connection with the Bridge incident. He was remanded until April Ist. The defendant’s departure from the Court was marked by a demonstration. Colonel Campbell and De. Groot were escorted by a big batch of police to a tram in George Street. Policemen lined the running boards of the tram car, they gradually jumping off as the angry mob in lhe demonstration were left behind.
