• Declaring its opposition ito the Financial Agreement Enforcement Act, the Tasmanian Government is seeking leave to intervene against the Commonwealth Government 'which is resisting NewSouth Wales’ application for an injunction to restrain the enforcement of '.his act against the- Lang administration. The Tasmanian Government has asked the Victorian and other Government s co-operation, and reported that it is likely the Victorian Government will agree. ° • o

It is announced that the Victorian Government has decided to apply to the High Court for leave to intervene in the action, New South Wales v. the Commonwealth.
