LICENSEE FINED

WELLINGTON, March 18
Thomas Ravin, licensee of the Caledonian Hotel was fined £25 in all on three charges of selling liquoi nftei hours. His license was endorsed and the consideration of the question of forfeiture held over for six weeks.

FIREARMS WITHOUT PERMIT
WELLINGTON, March 18
“Quite a number of cases oF persons having firearms without a permit have been before the Court lately. It may be -that -the fines have not been sufficient deterrent, and -the view I fake is that they can be, and shall be, increased, .said Mr Page, -S.M., to-day. fining Norman Alan Millar £3 for procuring possession of a revolver without a peimit.
Cyril William Flighty was similarly dealt with.
