IOS AMENDMENTS BY COUNCIL

Tlie Arbitration Amendment Bill, after being in the Upper House for twelve months, has been returned to the Assembly, accompanied by a message containing 109 amendments. It i- understood that Cabinet will not nc-~-'t the Bill as amended by the Council.
Ministers say that the Government Bill has been emasculated.
The Government was defeated in the Council when the Large Estates Taxation and Alamigement Bill was, referred to a select committee.'
