VISIT TO MASSEY COLLEGE

PALMERSTON N., March 17
The Dail y Produce Board which contributes four thousand annually, being half the cost, towards the activities of the Dairy Research Institute at Massey College, paid the annual visit of inspection to-day, close attention being given to reports on progress of research. Members of the Institute slaff delivered important addresses indicating the extent in which the investigations had advanced, in addition to the Board members, the chairman of dairy companies of Manawatu district were present, also Dr. Marsden, secretary of the Department of Research. In welcoming the gathering, Sir George Fowles (Chairman of the College Council) said lie, such minute investigation of the various phases of manufacture, and transportation of cheese had been undertaken, anywhere else in the world as at the institute’s lahoraties’ The problems were so enormous that the smallest degree of success would he repaid a thousand times over in value to the industry.
