THE HOKITIKA CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING HELD
The annual meeting of the Hokitika Hockey Club was held last evening in Keller’s sample rooms, when there was a large attendance of members and prospective members. The report dealt fully with last season’s activities, and, with the balance sheet, showing a credit of £l2 18s sd, was considered .satisfactory and adopted. The following officers were elected : (President, Mr D. J. Evans; Vice Presidents, Mesdames Preston, W. Wilson, and Butler; Messrs J. J. Breeze, Junr.„ Yarrall, Sherman, Newman, J. J.. McIntosh, L. Michel, Hall, W. E. Williams, Pedder, Eade. R-. Roberts, Bulpin, Kerr,' 'Horn, Mailed], Nancekivell, Collett, Drg Hart and Wilson; captain, J. Hall; vice captain, M. Sumner ; secretary, P. Dowell. It was decided that the Borough Council be approached asking permission for the use of 'No. 2 ground on Cass Square.
A vote of thanks was accorded the jßugby Union for the appointment of members a s gatekeepers last season, and asking that the same arrangements be made this year. 'Several new members were elected. It was decided that the Club officially open the season with a match early in April.
