The vote, putting members on record for the first time for twelve years s on prohibition revision, was on whether to discharge the Judiciary Committee from jurisdiction over the Beck-Linthicum resolution for an amendment of the Eighteenth -Amendment. The votes commanded by the anti-Prohibitionists were even larger than many of them expected. The success of the anti-Prohibitionists in securing a roll call is a considerable triumph for the AVets.
