The Colony won 'the first match by an innings and '97 runs. In the match ended to-day, the scores were: Jamaica, 561' and 155 for six wickets ;• Tennyson’s team, 533 andj 359. 'QUEENSLAND V. 8. AUSTRALIA. ■ ' BRISBANE, March 15. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match, (Queensland in the first innings scored 420. Benstead made 145. In the bowling Grimmett took three for 114, Lee three for 140, Wall two for 55. South Australia in the second innings lost seven for 298. Lonergan made 97, and Richardson 43. HOKITIKA V. ROSS. The Hokitika junior team to play Ross at Ross will be selected from the following players:—Hughes, Toohey, Pierson, Diedrichs, -Laityg, Jolly (2), Olson, Adamson. Stapleton, Hughes, Barnhill.
