ART UNION PROTEST. - WELLINGTON, March 14. •Speaking at St. John’s Church last night the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, referring to the possibility of an art union in order to assist the unemployed, said that such an art union would be a State lottery and involve the Government in exploiting the public for the benefit of tbo State itself. He vigorously condemned the proposal.
