JOHNS, March 12,1 In New Foiindland Budget proposals of the Premier, Sir Richard Squires have caused a split in the Government Party. Three prominent members, including a Cabinet Minister, tendered their resignations on Friday. They are: H. M. Mosdell, who resigned the. portfolio of Minister of Public Health, last week; .Philip Fudge and Capt. John Parsons. ONTARIO AVERTING A DEFICIT. TORONTO, March 11. The Budget statement, issued to-day, shows that by drastic retrenchment, and by increases in 286 corporation, amusement, and gasolene taxes, the Ontario Government expects to have a, surplus of 365,000 dpllars in the coming year.
