FRENCH EMBARGO
ON APPLE SHIPMENTS. (United Press Association—By Electric X To 1 eg ra p h. —Copy right.) WASHINGTON, March 10. The State Department said it will make no move in reference to the French fruit embargo, before its terms ~,4 more clearly defined, following n deference between the French Agricultural expel ts. The Senators from the apple growing States protested. Senator McNary said: “I am going to ascertain whether the embargo is in good faith.” Senator Jones said: “No San .lo*e scale.” Washington wanted to know whether the embargo was “sincere. 7 ' The International Applo Association \representative had said that two millinn bushels of United States nppir* had been shipped to France since September Ist. He warned growers that they can hope to save the growing markets abroad by shipping only, clean fruits.
