DARTMOOR RIOTS
CONVICTS’ CHARGES TO BE HEARD TO-MORROW. (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON. March 8. ... Thirty-two Dartmoor convicts were to-day paraded under a strong guard, before Supt. Smith,, and lormaJy charged with offences arising out of the mutiny of January 25th, under the “Malicious Damage Act.” Some of the charges were collective and others individual. The formal hearing takes place tomorrow before the Alagistrate at the Prison, when they will be remanded to appear on March 16th at the Town Hall, Prineetowii, where convicts are constructing a large dock to accomniudate the accused. There will be a strong guard, and chairs and benches will be bolted to the floor as a precaution against a possible outbreak of violence. N The accused are still in solitary confinement, except for daily exercises.
