COL. CAMPBELL AND MR LANG. CONVICTION QUASHED. (Australian Jt'ress Association.) SYDNEY, March 8. Mr Justice K. W. Street upheld the appeal of Eric Campbell against his conviction at the Police Couit to.r having used offensive language during a public speech, in which ho attacked All Lang on January 11th. The statements complained of in two charges included the following references to Mr Lang: Nasty tyrant and scoundrel, a buffoon at the head of at lairs, and a hated old man ot the sea.” DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT. SYDNEY, March S. The Governor on Friday receives a deputation from the New Guard, who will present a petition bearing hundreds of thousands of signatures, asking for the dissolution of the New South Wales Parliament.
