BRITISH COAL
REDUCED GERMAN ORDERS. LONDON", March 2. In answer to a question in the House of Commons, Mr Runciman said that the quota of British coal allowed to be imported into Germany was reduced on October 1, 1931, from 420,000 to 300,000 tons monthly. A further considerable reduction wag made on February 1, and it was understood that the quota would be still further reduced bv 50,000 tons in March, and the same in April. If this proved discrimination against British coal, Britain would regard it most seriously.
