It is anticipated that the proceedings in the New South Wales’ Parliament, which re-opens to-morrow will be particularly lively and acrimonious in view of the recent political happenings. MR LANG’S OBLIGATION. MESSAGE FROM MR LYONS. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) CANBERRA, February 23. After the Federal Cabinet had considered tlie Now South Wales’ default. Air Lyons forwarded'a telegram to Mr Lang declaring that the Federal Government will not release him from his obligation to pay £958,703, merely by bis agreeing to accept the responsibility for Commonwealth Treasury Hills, and pointing out that, to grant the half million asked for, it would be giving New South Wales additional assistance at the expense of States which honourably carried out their undertakings.
