The housing .shortage in Moscow led to a cold-blooded murder, for which two lovers, Alary Bousigina and Ivan Levitas, were each sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment, the maximum penalty for a non-political crime. The pair were unable to find a room. The victim was invited to share his. but the woman desiring privacy, killed him with an axe. Slio then posted the head to a distant town, and left other parts of the body at a Moscow station.
Finger prints on the head led to her identfication.
