FEEDING THE: DUMB. A noted scientist who wrote an enthralling hook about the men and animals of the New Hebrides, where Frame and Britain play at comic opera government, tells the story of the native who came to him about a dug. The obliging scientist gave him a scrap of explosive, knowing, of course, that it was relatively harmless without: moans of detonation, and the box left delighted.
