AIR RACE IN INDIA. FOR VICEROY’S TROPHY. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) CALCUTTA, February 20. Completing a seven hundred and nine miles’ course at an average speed of 96 miles an hour Doctor Sproule of the Punjab Flying Club, yesterday won the Viceroy’s Trophy in India’s first light plane race. W. C. Wingfield was second. P. C. Chandbriani, of the Bombay Flying Club was third. There were 12 entrants including two Englishwomen, Mrs Horsman, of Cawnpore, and Miss Crossley. The latter competed in the British King’s Cup air. race last year. If. R. Mackerjee of the Bengal Flying Club, crashed when landing at Lucknow. Tile machine was wrecked, Mackerjee and his passenger Wefe ilot hurt,
The route was froitl Delhi to Agra, Jliansi and Lucknow add back to Delhi,
