The final Plunket Shield match of the season between Otago and Wellington representatives, commenced this afternoon on the Carisbrook ground,’ after a delay of three hours owing to rain. The wicket was soft and easy. Otago batted first and" made 211, after losing seven wickets- for 64. Dickinson 52 and Moloney 55 stopped the rot just in time.
Wellihigton commenced their first innings at 5.40 p.m., and at stumps had lost no wickets for nine run*. Dempster not out 9, Dustin not out 0. The scores are as follows: OTAGO—First Innings.

PLAY POSTPONED TILL MONDAY. DUNEDIN, February 20. After continuous heavy rain which still continues, the Carisbrook ground is under water, and the Plunket Shield match played is postponed till Monday.
JAMAICAN COLTS.
BEAT ENGLISH TEAM
KINGSTON (Jamaica), Feb, 18
The colts defeated the English cricket on the first .innings at the conclusion of a two-dav match. The Jamaicans to-day declared at 286 for ten wickets, jut one more than the Englishmen s first innings score on Wednesday. The English team in the second innings made ■BB for the loss of three wickets, when darkness ended the game. Grovers scoied 89 'for Jamaica.

H. B. 'Cameron, the' skipper of the ■South African team, in a farewell message, sai'd the only excuse for their failure was the poor batting of his men who were used to matting wickets. They also found every wicket in every State of Australia different, thus intensifying the tea nils difficulties. JNevertheless, they were beaten by a better side.
