-Buyers from many parts' of tfie North Island attended the Masterton Ham Fair to-day, when flock and stud Romneys were offered. There was keen competition for quality animals, the prices realised for these being little in advance of last- year’s, Inferior and lighter sorts, of which there was a fairly large entry, were not sought after, and passings were numerous. Top price for studs was 60 guineas secured by A. L. Wheeler, of Marton; with A. E. Anderson (Tnratahi) next with 57 guineas-. Flock Romneys ranged up to 13 guineas.
