The Matson liner -Sonoma arrived to-dav from Auckland and later departed for San Francisco. The Matson Coy’s, new liner, Mariposa, en route from San Francisco, departed to day from Suva for Auckland.

After a months’ discussion the conference cc imperial air representatives evolved an imperial standard of airworthiness. Details are being forwarded to the Dominions for ratification, replacing the present British standard. The new standard retains the safety factors and is more adaptable to Dominions -needs, and should be helpful to British instructors, enabling them to equip machines for overseas without contravening the standards.
