HOKITIKA COMPETITIONS, Rimu, playing on their own ground defeated Ross by 39 runs. Rimu scored 37 (T Knowles 62), Houlaban taking 6 for 27, and Ross replied 93 (H. Jones “23, O’Connell 21). Knowles bowling for Rimu took 5 for 43. Rimu declared, its second innings closed at 80 for seven wickets, (Knowles 25) and left Ross wth 75 runs to make. The innings however closed for 36, -Stephens 5 for 10 and Knowles 3 for IB securing the wickets
