Prime lines sold satisfactorily to-day at Addington live stock sales, but other sorts showed no improvement. There was a full yarding of fat cattle, mostly of a quality suitable for 'trade requirements. Best cattle sold at values) on a much higher basis than other classes of cattle. Aledimn lots, -especially cows, were easier. Best (•heavy bullocks sold up to £l7 7s 6d. Prime bullocks sold from £9 5s to £lO 15s ; haiuliweights £6 15s to £7 15s, medium £4 10s to £6 10s, light from £5 ’2s 6d. Hefty iioffers sold to £8 17s 6d, prime £5 15s to £6 15s, medium £3 12s •5d i‘o £4 6s. There was a ’small yarding of store sheep. Good fresh ew.es met with better . competition.

There was a large yarding oi store lambs. Crossbreds met _ a better demand in comparison to fine woolled sorts. Competition lagged the clos-

ing stages. There >was a medium yarding of fat sheep, inodtjy .ewes of -all grades. Values were on a par with last week. Best wethers, being iscarce, met w.:th better competition. Extra heavy wothers fetched 19s lOd, prime ißs td ■l9s 6d, medium 15s to 17s, light i2s 6d to Its, inferior from lCs. Best 'heavy ewes sold up to 13s, prime 10s to Its 6d, medium 7s 6cl td 9s 6d, light from 6s.

There was -a medium yarding of fat lambs, mostly of medium quality. Extra choice lots were firm. The market was 'irregular for other classes. (Extra heavy prime lambs sold up to ‘26s, prime heavy 18s to 20s, prime 16s to 17s 6d, medium 12s to Ids 6d, light from Bs.

There was a medium yarding oi Fat pigs. Porkers were on a par with late rates. 'Medium weight baooners were firm. .Porkers -sold at 25s 6d to 28s, heavier 28 s 6d to 33s 6d ; choppers £2 to £4 ; haconers 38s 6d to 44s 6d; heavier 45s to 55s 6d ; extra heavy to £3 0s -6d. There was .a small yarding of store pigs. The market was firm, especially for we-aners.
