JUNIOR FREE PLACE PUPILS. (By Telegraph—Per Pres Association I WELLINGTON, February 4. Tlu? Minister of Education, Hon. R. Masters, announced to-day that it lias been decided to allow pupils who have already held a junior free place for more than two years at post primary schools, and who did not at the end of last year obtain, a senior free place, either by recommendation of examination, to continue to hold llieir junior free places till the end of the current, year. The Minister said Ibis action had been taken in view ol the grave difficulties confronting many parents under the present economic conditions.
