EGMONT RACING CLUB. (By Telegraph -— Be. Press Association) HAWEBA, February 4. The Egmont Racing Club’s jubilee meeting opened in threatening weather, with rain setting in with the sixth race. The track till then, was fast and in perfect condition. The attendance was only moderate, the gates being about one third down. The tote handled £6,144, compared with £10,276$ on the opening day last year. Results:— Ohawe Hurdles.—l Blacksmith 1, "> Airtight 2. 3 Cadapat 3. The-Swell struck the fence at the front stand and the rider was thrown, but was unhurt. Won bv half a length; two lengths. Time 2.471. Juvenile Stakes.—3 La Crown 1, 4 Chief Marionette 2, 1 Merry Way 3. W'ui by half a head ; two lengths Time 1.35.

lokaora Hack Handicap.—l The Tiger 1,2 Arvada 2, 3 Jadarino 3. The only starters. Won by n neck; twelve lengths.

Egmont Jubilee Cup.—lArikira 1, 3 Shrewd 2, 4 Monolof 3. Won by three lengths; half a length. Time 2.7. A new record was set for the race, the time being four-fifths of a second better than Kickoff’s previous best in 1923. Flying Handicap.—2 Laughing Prince 1, 1 Lady Quex 2, 4 Orapai 3. Won by a length; a bend. Time 1.14.

Nolan Hack Handicap. —2 Greenpatch 1, 1 Constant Sun 2, 3 Joyspear 3. Won b.y two lengths; two lengths, Time 1.48.

Alinreroa Handicap.—l Awaken 1, 3 Rory M0p222 Just An Idea 8, Won by three-quarters of a length each way. Time 1,50. Wnipapa Hack Handicap.—3 Captain Dan 1, Orby’s Choice 2, 5 Goldzone 3. Won by a neck; a head. Time 1.30. KING’S CUP.
