IUT. sefton climbed. (From a correspondent.) WAI'HO GORGE, February 3. Miss (Lilian -Fami/ton of Oainai'u accompanied by the well known Franz Josef Chief Guide, Peter Graham, and Tom jSheeran made the successful ascent Of Mount Sefton, 10,350 feet, from a high bivouac on the western side in the Copeland Valley. The party after ’being detained by (bad weather for several days, reached the summit on January 31st. Though magnificent -views were obtained, Mi. lAspining being clearly visible to the south, |a« icy wind was experienced on the final part of the climb, so than only a brief stay was made on the summit.
