ATTACKED BY BULL
OWNERS FORTUNATE ESCAPE. WHANGAREI, January 29. Mr S. Jones, of Wniotira, has tu thank the dehorning of his bull and a barbed wire fence for saving him from serious injury yesterday afternoon. His pedigree Jersey bull was kept covered, and Mr Jones was bending down to undo the cover prior to the removal of the animal to a fresh pasture, when it attacked him. Mr Jones was knocked over, and the bull rolled him about on the ground, finally pushing him through the fence. Mr Jones was badly cut and bruised. The bull, which had developed a very savage spirit lately, is stated to lie now on the way to the freezing works.
