The totalisator handled £30,0765, compared with £35,845$ on the .first day last year. Additional results:— Takapuna Cup.—Antique 1,2 Volimond 2. 9 Tea Money 3. Won by two and a-lialf lengths; three-quai ters of a length. Time 2.24 3-5. i Ferry Handicap.—s Ganpat 1, Royal Gallant 2, 3 Princess Bede 3. Won by three-quarters of a length each way. Time 1.14 3-0.
Calliope Handicap.— f> Bambury 1, 2 Foreign Money 2, 7 Jonker 3. Won by a head; a length. Time 1.2. Hauraki Hack Handicap.—2 Alloy 1, 4 Gay Idea 2, 3 Pateena 3. Won by one and a-lialf lengths; a neck. Time 1.56.
Zealander Handicap.— 2 Chief Joy 1. 5 Fager Rose 2. 4 Pui'iri Park 3. Won by three and a-lialf lengths; two lengths. Time 1.27 3-5.
