The Victorian yacht “Vanessa,” won the final heat- and the Sayonara Cup after a. thrilling finish, by. seconds from the New South Wales yacht , “Norn.” 'Pile decided heap was J sailed to-day. : This i s the first time "■ in tlie history of the competition that it has been necessary to hold a fifth heat. SYDNEY, January 28. The Vanessa won Bv 72 seconds. She also won the Cup last year for New South Wales, whereafter she wag sold to her present Victorian owners.
