SYDNEY, January 26. The annual labour report by the Commonwealth Statistician records a big fall in the cost of living in Australia since 1929. The report shows that the retail price for groceries on an average was 14 per cent, cheaper in 1930 and 1929; dairy produce was 9 per cent, lower, and meat G P er cent. The downfall continued into 1931 and had increased to over 20 per cent, for food in June.
