EXECUTION AT SING-SING. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) NEW YORK, January 21. A message from Sing-Sing states that Crowley, whose case was cabled on August sth, after a hearty dinner and a cigar, was electrocuted, following on liis refusal to say farewell to the girl with whom he was captured. He asserted: “Sweethearts never did me no good!” PROHIBITION IN U.S.A. WASHINGTON, January 22. In the United States’ Senate, in its first direct vote on the Prihibition issue, it was rejected by fiftyfive votes to thirteen, a motion recommending that the. State Governors should request their Legislatures to hold a referenda on the repeal or the modification of the Volstead Act.
