GOOD SALE OF YEARLINGS. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 22. Everything considered, excellent prices were realised at to-day’s Trentham yearling sale. Australian competition was keen for the progeny of Chief Ruler. Limond and Night Raid. The top price of 650 guineas w is paid on behalf of Mr E. J. Watt of New South 'Wales for a Limond —Waterwings colt, Mr J. T. Jamieson, of Tnki.imi, WAI. iington, paid 625 guineas for a cm stout celt, a brother to Commendation (by Limond—Eulogy). Other good prices wore:—s2s guineas by Mr J. E. Brien for a brother of Veilmond ; 425 guineas by an Australian buyer for a Limond—M irrebell colt • 400 guineas by Mr G. Price, of Sydney, for a Tea Trav—Refinement, colt; 450 guineas by Mr H. R. Telford, of Melbourne. for a Night Raid —Satisfaction colt. The average price realised for eleven Limonds, offered by Mr Currie, was just over £3OO.
