A DANGER EMPHASISED

DUNEDIN, January 15. \t the adjourned inquest o n Russell Albert Howes, aged 19, the Coroner returned a verdict of cordiac failure, caused by an electric -shock. Ho emphasised the danger of using portable electric lights in bathrooms, or places where they were liable to come m contact with metal. Evidence has shown that deceased was shaving in the bath, using a portaide light which was defective in insulation, -so that the touching of the metal part would cause a shock that would he intensified if the metal were wet. Aloreover, deceased weak cart, as the result of rheumatic lever.
