SOUTH AFRICAN’S VISIT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 13. Mr W. H. Winsor, Secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, who has returned from Australia, stated that financial arrangements for the Springbok’s tour had been completed, and the Australian Board of Control had agreed to the South African’s engagemeuts with Victoria and Australia (fifth Test) at Melbourne being ad-’-/.lnced a day, so as. to give the South African Team extra time for the final Tost, and make the way easier for the team to connect with the steamer leaving Sydney for Auckland on February 19th. The tourists, with the exception of Steyne and Van der Merwe, would reach Auckland on February 23, and play their first match of the brief New. Zealand tour with Auckland on February 23rd, 24th, and 2oth. It was probale, said Mr Winsor, that the South Africans would proceed from Auckland to Christchurch to play a Test there with New Zealand ou February 27th and 29th and March Ist and 2nd. They would afterwards re turn to Wellington for a match with Wellington on March 4th, sth and 7th, and would leave for Sydney on March Bth to complete the Australian pro* gramme.
